Celebrating 2018 and looking ahead

As we close out 2018, we’d like to thank you for making this year the best one yet. During the past year we’ve collaborated with many organizations on exciting new activities, giving us the opportunity to share health literacy best practices and resources in new and engaging ways.

Informed consent webinar
This past spring we worked with the Minnesota Alliance for Patient Safety, Hennepin County Medical Center, and Stratis Health to host a webinar on how health literacy can make informed consent practices more patient-centered. The free webinar is available online.

Health Literacy Best Practices Conference
We teamed up with the Minnesota Department of Health to host our first-ever conference this past summer. The event sold-out with more than 85 attendees from across Minnesota. You can read key takeaways from the conference in our August 2018 e-newsletter.

Health Literacy Month
We celebrated national Health Literacy Month in October with the theme Ask Me 3®. For more information and to view a helpful video, visit www.npsf.org/askme3.

Thank you for attending events, providing your feedback, and working hard to improve health literacy! The work we do wouldn’t be possible without your support.

Each year we’re inspired by the unique ways organizations across Minnesota seek to boost health literacy for their patients and clients. If you’d like a little inspiration as well, read our December 2018 e-newsletter for real-life examples. We can’t wait to see what you come up with next year!
